Sara Lemen, Executive Director, is a local performer and music teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Music from The Chicago Music Conservatory at Roosevelt University in Chicago and a Master of Music from NIU. Sara has performed with groups all over the Stateline and Chicagoland area. For the past decade, Sara has taught private voice and piano lessons at The Bloomingdale School of Music, The NIU Community School for The Arts and her private studio. She was the Music Director at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockton, IL., Sunday soloist for The First Church of Jesus Christ Scientist in Hinsdale and Elementary Music Teacher at Alpine Academy in Rockford, IL. Currently she sits on the board of Voci d’estate; Voices of Summer NFP Vocal Program and is the Executive Director of The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra.

Robert Tomaro, Conductor and Music Director of the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra since 1999. Dr. Tomaro holds a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Music Composition from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University. Click here to learn more about our maestro!
Glenn Wilfong, Personnel Manager & Librarian, is a longtime fixture in the Beloit music scene. Glenn holds positions as Director of Bands at Aldrich and Fruzen Intermediate school, Conductor of the Beloit College Wind Ensemble, performs with the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra, the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra, the Rock Valley College Orchestra and Rock Valley College Concert Band, the Jack Farina Big Band, the Joel Baer Big Band and the Ken Kilian Big Band. This is Glenn’s second stint as Personnel Manager for the Symphony, having served in the position from 2003 to 2007. Glenn also teaches private students at the Dolce Music Academy in downtown Beloit. In his spare time, especially in the summer, Glenn can also be found on the open road with “Big Blue”, his touring motorcycle.
Adam Gasser, Stage Manager/Office Assistant, is a Beloit native who has worked in the performing arts community for over 15 years. He has performed over 500 shows across the country with his band, Earth to Clark. Performing to over
thousands of people. He is passionate about the Beloit community. Adam is a husband, father, producer, multi-instrumentalist, event organizer, singer, mentor and much more. Adam brings a loving, professional and creative dynamic to the BJSO team.
